"Venice" set for Dangerous Beauty (Marshall Herskovitz, 1998)

Cinecittà is home to the most experienced set designers and builders in the world. Many are members of famous artisan families who have passed their skills and secrets down through several generations. Specialized equipment:

  • Gimbal motion simulator
  • fixed gantry CNC modular routing workstation (22' x 100') (This next-generation machine is capable of producing 3-dimensional reliefs and elaborate cut-outs at a tolerance of a fraction of an inch, allowing very fast, accurate reproduction of scenic detailing in any size and in a variety of materials.)
