The Magic of Cinema in the Heart of Italy

Only 100 km northwest of Rome and just a few minutes away from the city of Terni, the Cinecittà Umbria Studios rise up alongside the village of Papigno, a place tucked away in the tranquillity of the Valnerina Valley and close to the spectacular Marmore waterfalls.

Thanks to hard work and dedication of the truly dynamic and brilliant Oscar award-winning Roberto Benigni, the factory infrastructure has been renovated and upgraded into ad inspirind Dream Factory, giving life to and creating a new highly impressive centre attraction for the European Cinematographic Industry.

Since January 2005, the council of Terni has entrusted the management of the Cinecittà Umbria Studios to a newly developed partnership consisting of Cinecittà Studios, Roberto Benigni and Nicoletta Braschi. The objective is to make the Studios the ultimate point-of-reference when it comes to the cinematographic industry - a badge of perfection, quality and competitive prices.

Visually stunning films such as Roberto Benigni's Life is beautiful, Pinocchio, The Tiger and the snow, have all been shot in these Studios, as have international productions such as Belgium's The mole, the mini series The way of the Saints, starring Sofia Loren and Sabrina Ferilli and the Sigma commercial. The italian television channel Rai shot its second series of the successful Orgoglio starring Elena Sofia Ricci.
