Cinecittà Studios hosts Italy's top advertising awards

SANTA MONICA, CA - The worlds of advertising and film-making came together in grand tradition on December 3, 2003, for the 18th Annual Italian Association of Advertising Awards, held at the Federico Fellini Theater, on the grounds of Cinecittà Studios. Besides focusing on the symbiotic relationship between advertising and feature films, a common theme during the evening, this was the first majior award ceremony to take place in Rome, rather than the more "commercial" city of Milan.

Joshua Andrews to head profile - raising London base for Italy's famed Cinecittà Studios

Cinecittà Studios has announced the appointment of Joshua Andrews to head its base in London, England. In his new role, Joshua Andrews joins the growing international team involved in raising the profile of the world - famous Rome Studios. Andrews will be working with Peter Wetherell, who heads the Los Angeles office of Cinecittà , to track suitable productions for the Studios and will be concentrating primarily on Studio and indipendent films with medium to large budgets.

Rome's Cinecittà Studios spearheads unprecedent financial and business solutions for international producers

Rome's legendary Cinecittà Studios has launched a comprehensive financial and business solutions service specifically designed to give international film producers an innovative system to streamline the filmmaking process. Cinecittà Financial Consulting (CFC) will be headed in Rome by industry veteran Christian halsey Solomon. His mandate is to facilitate the financing of film projects at the famous Rome studios, and to create a favorable financial environment for English- speaking projects.

Cinecittà Studios makes magic with visual effects company proxima on the exorcist: the beginning

Now in its 65th year as international focal point for quality filmmaking, Italy's famed Cinecittà Studios in Rome is the setting for yet another cinematic first. In February of this year, director Paul Schrader wrapped on the prequel to William Friedkin's "The Exorcist", entitled "exorcist: The Beginning", at Cinecittà Studios. Traditionally, the next step would have been for Schrader to bring his vision back to the United States for post-production work.

Legendary Cinecittà Studios set to house USC School of Cinema -Television summer 2003 production workshops

LOS ANGELES, CA. (June, 2,03)- For the second year, Rome's Cinecittà Studios will be the satellite destination for the popular USC Cinema -television summer production workshops; it was announced today by Carol Andrè - Smith, Director of International Marketing, Cinecittà Studios and USC Dean Elizabeth Daley. This once- in-a-lifetime opportunity to study at one of the world's foremost film and television studios will begin on July 7 and run through August 15.
